Writing Class with Amy Webber - Tuesdays 10:30am–12:30pm
MARCH 18, 25, 2025: Family Heirlooms to Spark Memories and Create Authentic Stories
With March comes the THS quilt display and a question: What Family Heirlooms are you most proud of? Join us in March when we create authentic stories by adding heirlooms to your memoir or historical fiction. We'll look at 10 items people don't see in their homes anymore and what happened to them. If you'd like to bring a family heirloom to share with others, we all would love that!
April 8, 15, 22, 29, 2025: Seasons (Earth Day on April 29, 2025)
As spring comes upon us, April 2025 will hopefully bring warmer days. Let's get together for four Tuesdays and focus on each season: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter while remembering your most fun and most challenging experiences. We'll see how adding weather to your stories will bring a level of authenticity that creates strong feelings. Join us in April as we discuss and write strong scenes within your memoir, short story, or novel.
May 6, 13, 20, 27, 2025: Using History to Spark Memories and Create Strong Scenes.
Where were you when Kennedy was shot? How did the eruption of Mount St. Helen's affect you? What is your first memory of everyone in the country sitting in front of their radio or television to experience something that changed the world? Using the experiences of the past will spark memories worth writing about. They create strong scenes, interesting memoir stories, and engaging historical fiction books. Join us in May to visit the past.
Single Class - $25
Full monthly section - $85
