Octavio Gonzalez was almost born in the US. But his family arrived late from Tijuana to Southern California. Once settled there he and his family would do anything for work which added to his tremendous work ethic. Long before becoming a Tualatin City Councilor Octavio worked in agriculture; cleared earthquake debris; helped his dad with odd jobs; was in auto finance; banking; landscaping; self-employed; and was employed by an electric firm amongst other careers. But, by his own admission, his toughest job ever was being a stay at home dad. Join Sandra Lafky Carlson in this charming oral history of a real down-to-earth guy.
