Duffy Hamilton was the original organizer of the old picture archive. She meticulously created the book system and hand wrote all of the picture descriptions that she knew or could be discovered at the time. She organized all of the original pictures into notebooks (“books”). She hand wrote two card files of information, one by picture book number and the other organized by family name.
