Join old friends and meet new ones at our annual picnic!
Meet under the main picnic shelter at Community Park starting at 4:30
Food to purchase by Taco King: "We’ll offer tacos, burritos and burrito bowls. These selections can be converted into vegetarian, vegan or gluten free options. Salsa served separately so you can have it as spicey as you want—or not"
Music by an old friend of the THS: Dick Karman of Reliving Radio. It's not like any radio station that you've heard. Instead of "tuning between frequencies" it tunes between years. Hear the "Way Radio Was" in the 1950s. Hear the soundtrack of the 60s. Get a glimpse of radio drama in the 1940s. Reminisce with the sounds of the 70s. Our Disk Jockey is Dick Karman, radio communication historian, lecturer, and entertainer. Stop by the DJ booth and "talk old radio" or any memories from the last 5 decades. He'll display some artifacts that might remind you of your grandparent's living room.
This event will replace our regular monthly First Wednesday program in July. Questions? ask@tualatinhistory.com
