Dr. Paul Loikith is an Associate Professor of weather and climate science in the Dept. of Geography at Portland State University where he directs the PSU Climate Science Lab. He received a B.S. in Meteorology and a PhD in Atmospheric Science from Rutgers University. Prior to joining PSU in 2015 he was a postdoctoral scholar at the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab. Dr. Loikith's research interests focus on the drivers of extreme weather, how they are represented in climate models, and how these drivers are affected by global warming.
