It was easy for Kimberly Bown to graciously donate a personal tour of Portland’s Rose Garden for last year’s Heritage Evening Auction. But it was hard for her to coordinate a workable date with Jackie Konen and her large group of pals. Even when they did agree on a date, 100 degree weather pushed it out further. Finally on September 15th it happened. Said Kimberly of the event: “after the tour we all enjoyed a long social with beverages and Jackie’s incredible spread of hors d’oeuvres. Pretty sure they and she felt the donation to the Historical Society was worth it!”
