History of Hops in the Tualatin Plains

Mark Browne of the Lake Oswego Heritage House takes you on a tour of hops, their history, chemistry and role in Tualatin life. He discusses the planting, care and harvest of the hops. Information about key hops farmers the Eddys, Ciminos, Elwerts, and Vetals is discussed. Photos from then and what that property looks like today. For a person who doesn't drink so much beer, Mark tells remarkable tale.
